SLS LAS VEGAS — The biggest opening this week? The $415 million makeover of SLS Las Vegas. With it comes José Andrés' Bazaar Meat, Katsuya by Starck, Cleo, 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, The Griddle Cafe, Umami Burger (with a beer garden and sports book), The SLS Buffet and more. Three nightclubs come with the opening — Life Nightclub, Foxtail and The Sayers Club, and both Life and Foxtail have their own pools. It will be like visiting LA in Vegas.

PALMSOn the heels of SLS comes Tony Hu's Lao Sze Chuan opening at the Palms next Wednesday. The 200-item menu includes some of the Mayor of Chicago's Chinatown's favorites along with new dishes made just for Vegas.

THE STRIPSan Diego chef Brian Malarkey plans to bring his Searsucker to Las Vegas, but so far, there's no word on where it might land. In January, Hakkasan Group bought out Enlightened Hospitality Group, and part of that new union includes opening more of Malarkey's restaurants nationwide.

LAS VEGAS — In other openings news, Vegas has plenty up its sleeve through mid-October. Look at the 23 biggest new bars and restaurants to open including a second Border Grill, and new 24-hour restaurant at the Mirage and the first off-Strip restaurant from The Light Group.

DOWNTOWN SUMMERLINLas Vegas is about to get a new shopping center, and with it come a bevy of fast food options. Get a look at all the restaurant coming to the mall when it opens Oct. 9.

TIVOLI VILLAGEElizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla opened their second Vegas restaurant Made LV. The American tavern-themed restaurant features comfort food with a menu from Canteenwalla with Blau's healthy twist. Daniel Boling, formerly of The Lodge at Torrey Pines in San Diego, executes the menu.
