MAGIC heads to Vegas next month and already the biggest trends hitting the runway are coming out for Cruise 2015 fashions. SWIM @ MAGIC plans to show more than 70 brands this season as well as a new designer area featuring brands such as Frankie's Bikinis, L*Space by Monica Wise and Luli Fama, among others.
Here, a look at three trends that are hotly anticipated to debut next spring.
Active Aquatics
Women of all ages are adapting healthier lifestyles and new types of workouts and that means a demand for active pieces. Silhouettes will feel more organic with less construction and hardware. Tops are outselling bottoms and customers are mix n' matching everything. Spring festivals are now a cultural staple in all realms of fashion and are driving sales in spring swim.
Bold Prints
For fabrics, graphic geometrics and black and white prints will be strong, as well as tie dyes, mitered stripes, Palm Tree prints and novelty textures such as crochets. Ethnic inspired motifs, simple two tone graphics, bright colorful prints with hints on white and Mediterranean blues and tile prints will be strong as well. Deep blues, aquas and warm corals and reds continue to be big for 2015.
Retro Inspired
The biggest trends in styles this coming season are twist bandeaus, soft shirred halters and bottoms, and a continued interest in retro, high-waist fitting bottoms. We'll continue to see bustier style underwires, flutter tops and adjustable tie bottoms.
