Look out, Miss America. The two newest titleholders for the Miss Nevada crown are sisters from Henderson. On Sunday, the Miss Nevada Organization crowned two new beauty queens — 2014 Miss Nevada Ellie Smith, a 17-year-old from Henderson who coincidentally was the 2012 Miss Nevada's Outstanding Teen, and 2014 Miss Nevada's Outstanding Teen Amy Smith, a 15-year-old Las Vegas Academy of the Arts student.

Ellie plans to attend BYU in the fall and takes her title to the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City in September. Her sister Amy competes for Miss America's Outstanding Teen in Orlando, Fla., in August.

As with all Miss America contestants, each is involved in volunteer efforts. Ellie's platform of volunteer service is "Bullying: Don't Let It Get to You" and Amy's platform is "Amy's Ambition: Empowering Youth Through Service."

In all, the Miss Nevada Organization awarded more than $15,000 in scholarships Sunday evening.
