How's this for funny? Mall Cop: Blart 2 has plans to film its second installation with comedian Kevin James at Wynn Las Vegas from April to June.
The Associated Press reports that Sony Pictures "is the first to formally apply for a tax credit under Nevada's new $20 million program intended to help bring the filming of more major motion pictures to the state."
Sony wants $4.2 million in tax credits for the $46 million sequel that includes an estimated 3,500 job.
The original Paul Blart: Mall Cop, featured James as Blart, a mild-mannered man who dreamed of being a state trooper only to land a job as a security guard at a local mall. No word on whether Blart will tool around on a Segway in the sequel.
