Lego is bringing its first dedicated retail store in Nevada to Fashion Show mall. The 2,177-square-foot space has earmarked an estimated $400,00o for the construction. The tenant number is listed as 1520, currently the still operating Marc Ecko Cut & Sew menswear store, located across the mall from the new Apple store.
An official Lego company calendar has announced the grand opening celebration will include limited edition Lego sets and T-shirts.
Since the overhaul has yet to begin, a debut in time for the Feb. 7 release of The LEGO Movie appears unlikely.
A job description for Las Vegas store manager applicants explains the store could host "LEGO Club meetings, free monthly mini builds and in-store play."
Las Vegas has already been the focus of a very special burst of Lego-mania. The Legoland California Resort features a replica of the Las Vegas Strip, complete with "an exploding volcano in front of the Mirage... and working versions of the thrill rides at the top of the Stratosphere."
