Red carpet season is upon us, and with that comes the first of many, the Primetime Emmy Awards this Sunday. Vegas' own celebrity colorist Michael Boychuck already has his picks for the hair trends you can expect to see on the celebrities walking the red carpet this Sunday. After all, he's handled the locks of LeAnn Rimes, Shanna Moakler, Jessa Hinton, Paris Hilton and more in his salons. Here now, owner of Color Salon at Caesars Palace and partner of Life Spa + Salon in Summerlin predicts the top looks for hair and makeup and how to get them at home.

A trend that can be seen on the red carpet this season is a side swept hairstyle. The side swept hairdo is pinned over to one side and draped over one shoulder. To add volume, adding loose curls and teasing at the crown will complete the timeless look.

Up-dos will also be a trending on the red carpet. From creating a relaxed messy bun to the classic, voluminous French twist, up-do hairstyles add sleek and elegance to red carpet fashion.

To achieve the red carpet look, a radiant, luminous complexion is the best beauty asset on the red carpet. Adding a smoky eye and clear lip gloss will show off natural beauty that allows the dress and jewelry to grasp everyone's attention.
