Hold on to your handbags, Summerlin. The massive master-planned community on the west side of Vegas is about to get a Nordstrom Rack, coming to The Shops at Summerlin opening in fall 2014.

The 36,000-square-foot store features apparel, accessories and shoes marked down 30 to 70 percent off regular prices. The department store, the first announced for the center that was mothballed in 2008 when the economy tanked until recently restarting construction, marks the second in Vegas area. Nordstrom Rack moved to new digs in Henderson near the Galleria at Sunset two years ago.

When complete, The Shops at Summerlin plans to have 125 shops and restaurants in an open air-shopping environment.
