Fashion designer Marc Jacobs made a rare Vegas appearance in support of his new Marc Jacobs Beauty line, which just debuted in his Marc by Marc Jacobs store at the Forum Shops at Caesars.
The amiable Jacobs says he named the products after some of his favorite movies, pieces of art and music. His interest in jumping into the world of beauty after years as a fashion designed came after he found the similarities between the two.
"I really find a parallel between working on the beauty collection to designing a collection, because [they're] very similar in terms of choosing colors and textures and projecting an image or a spirit," he tells Vegas Magazine.
He also defines the difference between fashion and style: "How somebody wears it, or what they choose to wear, makes an individual. That's style rather than fashion, which is what I really love."
