Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Old West meets new Las Vegas at the coming Kemo Sabe. The Aspen and Vail, Colo.-based Western store is constructing its first outpost outside of their home state at the Forum Shops at Caesars.
Colorado-based Rowland+Broughton Architecture and Urban Design are working on the look and are sharing some early renderings of the final vision.
The Western-themed accessory boutique will be located in the former Rimowa Luggage store. The 2,468-square-foot project has a budget of $247,500.
Expect to find the feel of a retail salon decked out in Western memorabilia. Distressed leathers, hair-on-hide and even barnwood siding dress up this urban setting.
