Get up close and personal with the costumes and performers of the Nevada Ballet Theatre when All Things Nutcracker opens at the Discovery Children's Museum Dec. 7.
Here find exhibits that feature Nutcracker-inspired themes and content, such as The Nutcracker — Fun through Dance and Movement, The Nutcracker — Fun with Characters and Set Design and A Celebration of The Nutcracker Ballet. During the exhibit, find mini-performances and meet and greets with the characters throughout the month and some days will end with a special "conga line" led by the Nutcracker himself. The exhibit remains at the museum through Jan. 3.
The Nevada Ballet Theatre's performance of the Nutcracker comes to the Smith Center for the Performing Arts Dec. 14-22 and features grand sets, costumes and choreography by artistic director James Canfield.
