As 2013 draws to a close, we're surveying our friends in the fashion industry about the year's biggest news stories and most exciting developments. Earlier we look at the best stores. Now up, Top Newcomer of the Year. Readers, let us know what you think in the comments.

Q: What was the top newcomer of the year?

Laura Coronado, LollieShopping: I have to go with American Vagabond again. Owner Daniella Capitano is nailing it! She's brought something really new and different to Las Vegas.

Christa Emmer, Beauty Guru Las Vegas: IT Cosmetics. This newcomer to ULTA focuses on makeup that hides skin imperfections and is formulated with anti-aging ingredients. Katie August in The Market LV at Tivoli Village. This cute shop brought us trendy and stylish shoes, handbags and accessories together with an affordable price.

Christie Moeller, I Can Style U: I am really excited to see what develops at The Container Park here in Las Vegas and I am obsessed I'm also really excited about designer Nikki Kule's new brand Kule.

Susan Stapleton, Racked Vegas: Both of mine are pop-up shops. Crate & Barrel finally coming to Vegas was a breath of fresh air. Whether they stay at Town Square or plant roots somewhere else in Vegas, we'll have to wait and see. Although not open yet, I think Rent the Runway coming to the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will be just what tourists who want a gussied up look for one night only need.
