Today, Mark Shunock, who plays Lonny in Rock of Ages at the Venetian, shares what he carries in what he describes as his ugly green denim messenger bag. On Monday, Shunock hosts his second Monday's Dark at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours at the Hard Rock Hotel starting at 9 p.m. There, he brings in acts such as Mosiac from MTV's Top Pop Group and America's Got Talent, currently performing at LVH; Deven May of Jersey Boys; Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie; Broadway's Natalie Toro; Skye Miles, Jennifer Romans, Cheryl Daro and cast members from Rock of Ages and Chippendales, among others. The night will raise money for Aid for AIDS of Southern Nevada. Here, Shunock talks about being anal retentive about his notes, why this bag means business and that first fanny pack he carried as a kid. Find out what's inside following the jump.

What kind of bag?
$10 ugly green denim messenger

What does your bag say about you?
My bag tells people that I'm here to work. Don't waste my time. I'm busy and if I'm here that means I'm interested and want to get it done. If you love what you do it makes it the work that much more enjoyable.

What's the most important thing in your bag?
The most important thing in my bag these days is my Mondays Dark bible. These events are going to raise $120,000 for Las Vegas local charities and everything from crazy ideas to guest lists live there.

How about the most surprising thing?
The most surprising thing would be an old dog treat or two. I have three big kids and they are always hungry. Sometimes my notes have crumbs. It's all good.

What was the first bag you carried that was memorable?
The first bag that I carried was a fanny pack. I was 12. It was bright yellow and it had change for the bus, a granola bar and my hockey cards in it.

Name eight items in your bag and why you must carry them:
1. Red pilot G2 pen

2. Black pilot G2 pen

3. Highlighter. These are a must. I'm anal about notes and how they look.

4. Protein bar (obvious)

5. Old school black and white composition book. This is a must for notes, etc. I've started using the voice memo on my phone. The book is pissed.

6. There's an egg shaker. One of those things that a band uses. Not sure where it came from, but I can't take it out. I'm superstitious.

7. A tiny ledger that keeps track if I gamble...it never gets used...I'm always up

8. Kleenex. You never know.
