Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
How clever is this? Now the Mob Museum and the Neon Museum teamed up to form Bosses & Bulbs in the brand new Container Park. This little joint venture on the third level offers up more than just a place to buy tickets to the two museums (or even a joint ticket to both for $37). You may find gifts for some of the tougher people on your list.
Find apparel for men and women replete with some of the Neon Boneyard's most iconic signs, magnets depicting individual neon letters, holiday ornaments commemorating famous signs such as the Silver Slipper and the Coin Castle King, mugs, posters, the book Spectacular — A History of Las Vegas Neon and more.
As for the mobster side, look for fedoras, winter caps, logoed and designed hoodies and fleece jackets, the Las Vegas Then and Now pictorial history book, as well as novelty items including bullet and gun ice cube trays and "brass knuckle" meat tenderizers.
Bosses & Bulbs lights up the Container Park from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
