Las Vegas based Winky Designs will be launching their first retail store at downtown's Container Park on East Fremont. Led by founder and designer Winky Wu, the company's all women team have created an international brand of fashion watches and complete all their design, photography, marketing, and sales in-house.
The retail store will mark a departure for the mail-order specialists who also distribute to over 200 retailers as diverse as the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and to boutiques in Tahiti and El Salvador.

Downtown's Container Park will feature cafes, boutiques, bars and galleries all housed within re-purposed portable shipping containers, or cubes. The site will include a live music stage, a central children's play area and at the front entrance, a fire breathing praying mantis sculpture.
An official opening date for the park has not been released, but Winky Designs' Facebook page mentions a hopeful October debut. They'll be joining Art Box, creators of jewelry and home designs out of fused glass and American Vagabond, a women's clothing and accessories store currently based in the nearby Emergency Arts building.
